fleur de lis punch

yesterday I spent the day at Portfolio in Blackburn at a class where we used a fleur de lis punch to make various things.
We actually mad a wreath to hang on the christmas tree and a cross for the front of a card I will put pictures of them on later.
We came away with lots of ideas to make with this punch and had a great day and plenty of fun. next week is stamping and using copic markers cant wait.
Not had much chance to blog or craft with all tha has been going on around here this summer.
Thursday night and all day Saturday Hubby is off to Model bus meetings so will take the dogs out early and get crafting.
have a great day

Tuesday 10 March 2009

I couldn't get off to sleep last night so I was playing a cd "waymarks" the Northumbria community.
It always soothes me and comfortsd me but last night a particular song I had heard hundred of times leapt out
The words are
Brother, sister let me serve you
let me be as Christ to you.
Pray that I may have the grace to
let you be my servant too.

We are pilgrims on a journey
we're companions on the road.
We are here to help each other
walk the mile and bear the load

I will hold the Christ-light for you
in the night time of your fear.
I will hold my ahnd out to you,
speak the peace you long to hear

I will weep when you are weeping;
when you laugh I'll laugh with you.
I will share your joy and sorrow.
till we've seen this journey through

When we sing to God in heaven
we shall find such harmony.
born of all we've known togehter
of Christ's love and agony

it just reminded me of the March challenge we have been set on the scrapbooking page we have to create a layout showing how we use our hands and feet for the Lord in our everyday lives and use the text
Ephesians 6:9 "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

another challenge was to use an overlay somewher on the project. the photo hasn't come out too well. It is a mini book of my dogs Jessie and Rolf on a visit to the seaside at Cleveleys at the end of 2008.

It is entitled Bathing Beauties

this is a challenge layout using recycled materials.

The photo is a very old one of my dad chopping someones head off at a family party.

My dad made things from nothing and having seen a magician doing this trick worked out how to do it and made one.

We frequently persuaded him to do this trick at any family get together or church event and as children though he was brilliant.

He also was one of the first people to make his own solar heating using copper pipes on our greenhouse roof. I have many lovely stories about my dad and will add them later

yesterday i took part in the cybercrop on Faith based pages group and had a great time>
I managed to do 6 layouts/projects over the two days I will try to work out how to add pictures of these
janet
well this is the first pot to my blog.
I have decided to make one as I need somewhere to put my pictures of my layouts and cards and everybody seems to have one
